  • Telehealth services have become more popular since the COVID-19 pandemic. We use a HIPAA compliant platform to perform online sessions. You will easily connect with your therapist with a click of a button. All intake paperwork will be completed via our secure Client Portal.

  • We are aware of how difficult it can be to find a therapist right now. We are grateful that telehealth has increased accessibility to services. We are able to work with anyone residing in the state of NY. Many people enjoy the flexibility telehealth allows. For example, you can have a session before work or after your kids go to sleep without leaving your home. Not to mention, the time and money you save by not commuting.

  • Well if you are on this website, you are probably considering therapy because you are seeking some change in your life. Our therapists can help you approach your situation in a new way – teach you new skills, gain different perspectives and listen to you without judgment. You can achieve the growth you desire and be your authentic self.

  • We are not prescribers. Medication can be effective but it will not solve all your problems. Sometimes medication is needed in conjunction with counseling. Our work together is designed to explore and unpack the issues you are experiencing and expand on your strengths that can help you accomplish your personal goals. If you need a referral to a prescriber, we can do that for you.

  • Yes. If you already have a prescriber, we ask that you complete a Release of Information Consent form, which will allow us to communicate with your prescriber about your care. Parents/guardians can sign a release for our therapists to communicate with school counselors or teachers if deemed necessary. We believe collaboration is essential for growth.

  • Great question! Any professional with integrity will understand that some personalities and styles don’t mesh. We only ask that you give it a chance. If after a few sessions, you feel it is not the right fit, please be honest and we will try to connect you with another one of our trained therapists. If we cannot accommodate you, we will refer you to another practice that can. Your mental health is our number one priority!
